Sponsorship Eloise Hughes - Camps International
We are thrilled to sponsor Eloise Hughes, who is fundraising for her four-week expedition to Kenya with Camps International. Eloise, the daughter of our Surface Mount Supervisors - Rob Hughes, is fully funding her adventure which will in no doubt be a life changing experience.
Camps International – ‘School expeditions with impact’ will see Eloise living and working alongside local people, helping human wildlife conflict, making jewellery with indigenous women as well as building community structures such as schools. Her dream is to help local communities and immerse herself in the cultures and traditions of Kenya as well as experiencing the country's stunning wildlife. We’re a little bit jealous!
A particularly exciting aspect of her trip is the chance to participate in scuba diving, where she will earn her PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Qualification. This achievement will be a significant step toward her aspiration of becoming a Marine Biologist.
Being no stranger to a challenge having already achieved her Duke of Edinburgh Bronze & Silver awards - all whist studying for GCSE’s, Eloise says Camps International – is a next level challenge!
Camps International encourages participants to fundraise the entire cost of their trip which is no easy feat and why we’re proud to contribute. Eloise has been busy with fundraising activities including bake sales, placed snack boxes in her parents' workplaces (gratefully received by our team)! But with a year to go, Eloise is eager to explore more fundraising ideas but admits she is finding it a challenge. We wish her all the very best and can not wait to see photos of her adventure.
