Brexit - Information for EU Customers
Mantracourt has been monitoring the situation since the end of the Transition Period that marked the end of the UK’s membership of the single EU market.
In light of this, Mantracourt Electronics BV [ME BV] will be named as our Authorised Representative in the EU for the purpose of CE marking.
This will remove the need for our EU customers to take on the Manufacturer’s responsibilities under the CE Directive. ME BV will be deemed to be responsible for the safety of the product in that area and therefore field any calls from authorised/relevant authorities may request it in the event of a safety issue and will take on the responsibility of due diligence for the product, so that will mean a risk assessment and a system of QA/QC in place at that end to ensure the product received is compliant with the standards expected.
ME BV’s details will be added to product literature moving forward.
We will continue to monitor the trading situation and make further changes where they are both necessary and possible.
